Walrus Game Studios is a Swedish game development studio founded in October 2022 . The company is currently working on its first title, with an expected release in 2027.
At present, Walrus Game Studios operates as a one-person studio, allowing for a focused and hands-on development process. The long-term vision is to expand the team and bring in additional talent following the release of the first game.
Alongside game development, Walrus Game Studios also explores visualization work, combining technical expertise with strong visual storytelling.
Founder
Walrus Game Studios was founded by Kim Mursu, a game developer with a background in computer science and a strong focus on artificial intelligence and programming.
In addition to formal studies in computer science, Kim has extensive experience in game development and game design. This includes the full production pipeline, from gameplay systems and technical implementations to 3D modelling, sculpting, and animation. This multidisciplinary approach allows for tight integration between technology, design, and visuals throughout development.
